๐Ÿ’œBTS ‘ARIRANG’ Gwanghwamun Concert: Everything You Need to Know BTS ‘ARIRANG’๐Ÿ’œ

1.The Basics: What’s Happening and How to Watch๐Ÿ’œ

BTS is returning โ€” all seven members โ€” with a free outdoor concert called “ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square. If you can’t make it in person, Netflix will stream the whole thing live. Additionally, this marks the first time a Korean concert has been broadcast globally on the platform in real time. Therefore, whether you’re in Seoul or watching from abroad, you won’t miss a single moment.

Date: March 21, 2026, 8:00 PM KST

Streaming : Netflix (exclusive live broadcast)

Bonus : On March 27, Netflix drops “BTS: The Return” โ€” a documentary on the making of the new album.

2. Official Pop-ups and Where to Shop๐Ÿ’œ

Planning your shopping itinerary in advance is essential. Here’s a breakdown of each location.

(1) Shinsegae Department Store, Myeongdong ( 4th Floor, Heritage Museum )

This is the only official pop-up for the 5th album ‘ARIRANG,’ running March 20 through April 12. However, you can’t simply walk in

โ€” entry requires a pre-reservation through Weverse Shop. Without a reservation, entry is not possible.

(2) Lotte Department Store (Main Branch)

From March 19โ€“22, the exterior lights up in purple between 6โ€“10 PM. Furthermore, this is where you can pick up the Lotte Tourist Membership Card

โ€” a T-money transit card featuring a traditional Korean design, perfect as a souvenir.

(3) Convenience Stores (CU, GS25) near Gwanghwamun

Stores in the area are stocking 100x their usual inventory ahead of the concert. As a result, finding concert-themed items โ€” including ‘Jin’ branded alcohol โ€” should be relatively easy.

3. Concert Day Checklist๐Ÿ’œ

Being well-prepared will make a huge difference on the day. Here’s what you need to know

(1) Check-in & Entry : Check-in begins at 12:00 PM based on your assigned number. Moreover, entry closes strictly at 7:00 PM with no exceptions

(2) Photo spots : The “ARMY Road” installation at the Sejong Center staircase is a must-visit. In addition, the National Museum of Korea offers exclusive goods and photo opportunities starting March 20

(3) What to pack

  • Comfortable shoes โ€” it’s a standing concert
  • A power bank (you’ll be on your phone)
  • A jacket or heat packs โ€” late March nights in Seoul get cold, especially outdoors

4. Getting There: Transit Restrictions on Concert Day๐Ÿ’œ

Planning your route in advance is strongly recommended. Specifically, two stations will be bypassed entirely during peak hours

(1) Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5): Skipped from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

(2) Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3): Skipped from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM

  • Instead, use City Hall, Jonggak, or Anguk Station โ€” all within walking distance of the venue.
  • Additionally, subway service will be extended with 24 extra runs after 9:00 PM, so getting home won’t be an issue.

5. Accommodation: Book Early or Look Further Out๐Ÿ’œ

Hotels in Jongno and Jung-gu are essentially sold out, with nightly prices surging to 500,000 KRW. However, if you haven’t booked yet, there are still options.

Neighborhoods like Mapo, Yongsan, and Sinchon offer more availability and, importantly, direct subway access to the concert area
